2023년 초겨울을 맞아 발표하는 생명조형전 III는 파주 파평면 두포리에 작업실을 열고나서 작업한 평면 조형으로
2022년 생명조형전 I, II에서 선보였던 시간여행 연작과 이어 자유로운 영혼이 마음껏 우주를 유영하듯 심도있는 조형세계를 표출하고자 하였다.
특히 이번 작업에서는 과거의 나와 조우하는 동시에 새 생명의 숨결을 불어넣는 작업에 집중하였다.
지금까지 해왔던 입체조형 작업에서는 무수한 드로잉과
평면구상을 시작으로 재료와 기술에 대한 깊은 이해를 요구하는 수많은 과정들을 거쳐
그 결과물에 다다르게 되어왔다.
이번 두포리에서 이루고자 하는 평면조형 세계에서도 영혼, 공간, 시간과의 투쟁의 연속과 다름아니라는 것을 깨닫게 되었다.
작업의 방법과 도구로는 한지 또는 캔버스 상에 아크릴 물감, 흑연, 색연필 , 크래용, 금, 은박 등을 이용하여 외연을 확장시키는 조형을 시도하였다.
이러한 일관된 작업들은 여전히 물질과 정신을 통찰하는 여정이며, 시공의 융합이다. 이번 발표의 주제 역시 생명 본질의 끊임없는 조형 탐구의 미래를
향한 힘찬 태동의 고리가 될 것이다.

Neo Cosmos Exhibition III is presented in early winter as an exhibition of dimensional art following the opening of a studio in Dupo-ri, Papyeong-myeon, Paju. It is a continuation of the time travel series from the Neo Cosmos Exhibition I and II in 2022. This exhibition aims to present a profound artistic world to embody a free spirit roaming through space. In particular, this work focused on the process of rediscovering myself in the past and inspiring new life. For my dimensional design works, I began by creating countless drawings and planar compositions, going through various processes that required extensive understanding of materials and techniques before producing the final artistic output. As for the method and tool in my works of art, I utilized acrylic paint, graphite, colored pencils, crayons, gold, and silver paper over hanji (traditional Korean paper) or canvas to create forms that expand on the concept of manifestation. The consistency in my works symbolizes a journey to gain insight into both matter and the mind, representing a fusion of time and space. The theme of this presentation will also serve as a stepping stone of ceaseless dynamic movement in pursuit of the essence of life. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my family for their unwavering support and understanding as I prepared for this exhibition. I dedicate this exhibition to my beloved wife, who is currently battling illness with great courage, for always providing me with steadfast trust through her smiles, encouragement, and patience. I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Kwan Hoon Gallery for their kind invitation to hold this exhibition and to everyone who supported and contributed to the success of the exhibition.
