KWANHOON GALLERY

서울의 중심부에 위치한 관훈 갤러리는 1979년에 처음 문을 열었습니다. 그 후 여러 화랑들이 생겨나서 서울의 화랑가를 조성하게 되었고 한국현대미술의 촉매가 되었습니다. 관훈은 모더니즘 운동에 대한 수용과 신진작가들의 발굴로 한국 현대 미술사에 중요한 기여를 했습니다. 그것은 새로운 세대의 예술가들에게 견고한 기반을 제공했고 한국 현대 미술을 국내외적으로 알리는데 큰 역할을 했습니다. 관훈의 비전은 한국 현대 미술의 발전과 국내 작가를 국내 뿐만 아니라 세계에도 소통될 수 있는 작가의 발굴과 국내에서 활동을 지원합니다. 최근에는 신진 작가 발굴보다는 기성 작가의 전시를 통하여 한국 미술의 역사적 가치의 재평가에 더 힘쓰고 있습니다.

The KWANHOON Gallery, located in the heart of Seoul, first opened its doors in 1979. Its birth served as a catalyst, as others soon joined Kwanhoon to create Seoul's thriving gallery district. KwanHoon has opened its doors wide to all sorts of contemporary artistic tries, approaches and experimentations by young and aggressive artists provided a solid ground for the new generation of artists and that it also played a bridgehead role in promoting contemporary Korean art
